MAKING GROUND makers, moving image and physicality
Making Ground was a collaboration between ceramic artist Elaine Bolt and basketweaver Annemarie O'Sullivan at a disused brickworks near Horam in Sussex. The project focused on a sense of place, changing seasons, and how being closer to the source of the materials, and working together can affect the making. Documenting their collaboration, I developed work around the choreographies of making in place and explored analog and digital ways the audience can 'stir' an image sequence into life. We showed at Make Lewes Festival and with Making Ground at Fabrica.
